Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has stirred conversation after claiming that the long-standing rivalry between Davido and Wizkid is the very force sustaining their dominance in the music industry.
Speaking during an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, the rapper argued that the intense competition and even hostility among fan bases have kept both global stars relevant for nearly two decades.
According to him, the absence of rivalry could weaken their grip on the spotlight. While he acknowledged that artists can maintain mutual respect, he insisted that fan rivalry plays a crucial role and should not be discouraged.
In his words, Blaqbonez emphasized that the tension between fan bases fuels longevity, adding that he personally thrives in competitive environments.
Meanwhile, the rapper is also facing tension within the industry, as fellow artist Odumodublvck recently called him out over their ongoing dispute. During a podcast interview with Pulse, Odumodublvck criticized Blaqbonez for allegedly avoiding direct reconciliation and instead sending intermediaries.
Despite the friction, Odumodublvck expressed openness to settling their differences on the condition that Blaqbonez offers a personal apology. He also noted that his values allow room for forgiveness, though he maintains that the conflict goes beyond a typical rap feud, accusing Blaqbonez of attempting to downplay its seriousness through diss tracks.
