Lagos: Tinubu Absent As Senate President Inaugurates Sanwo-Olu’s Projects

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on Wednesday represented President Bola Tinubu to inaugurate three major infrastructure projects in Lagos.

The projects commissioned include the Ojora-Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) building, and the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the projects were designed to enhance mobility, improve land administration, and strengthen public service delivery across the state.

Describing the Ojora-Opebi Link Bridge as a strategic intervention, Sanwo-Olu noted that it is situated along one of the busiest transport corridors in Lagos. He explained that the bridge is expected to ease traffic congestion, reduce travel time, and improve the commuting experience of residents.

The governor also stated that the LAGIS building would boost transparency and efficiency in land administration by eliminating manual and paper-based processes.

According to him, the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex will house key government services under one roof, improve coordination among agencies, and provide a more conducive working environment for public servants.

Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering impactful projects before the end of its tenure.

“With just over 400 days left in this administration, we remain focused on making every day count,” he said, noting that more than 2,500 days of the administration’s tenure have been spent working to improve the state.

He also commended engineers, contractors, and public servants involved in the successful execution of the projects, adding that his government would continue to prioritise initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for Lagos residents.
