Nigerian afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, has reignited his long-running feud with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, firmly stating that there will be no reconciliation between them, describing their rift as permanent and “for life.”
The conflict between the two artists dates back to Wizkid’s controversial remark in which he reportedly compared himself to Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, a statement that sparked outrage from Seun Kuti, who had earlier warned against any comparisons involving his late father.
Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, Seun was asked whether he had resolved his differences with Wizkid, but he shut down any hope of peace.
“It is on for life. I don’t have anything to say about him but it is on for life,” he said. “You don’t say things about my dad and then it is fine. There is no coming back from that.”
His remarks have once again stirred debate online, with fans divided over whether the feud should end or continue to escalate between the two music figures.
