Popular Nigerian streamer Carter Efe has publicly accused organizers of a celebrity boxing event of failing to pay his ₦50 million prize, days after his widely publicized victory over singer Portable.
The bout, which took place last Friday, saw Carter Efe emerge as the winner, earning him the headline prize. However, controversy quickly followed the match after Portable rejected the outcome, alleging that the judges’ decision had been manipulated by organizers to avoid massive betting payouts reportedly tied to his victory.
In a new video circulating on social media, Carter Efe expressed frustration over what he described as a delayed payment, calling on the event promoters to fulfill their promise.
“Dem never give me my money oo. I never see ₦50 million ooo. I nearly die for that fight, I never see the ₦50 million. Make dem pay me the ₦50 oo,” he said.
The situation has fueled further speculation about the legitimacy of the fight and the management of funds linked to the event, especially amid Portable’s earlier claims that the outcome may have been influenced behind the scenes.
As of now, the organizers have yet to issue an official response addressing both the payment delay and the allegations surrounding the fight’s credibility.
