“Have More Kids or Lose the Next Michael Jackson?” Korede Bello Sparks Debate with Bold Call for Bigger Families

Nigerian singer Korede Bello has stirred controversy after urging couples to have more children, arguing that larger families increase the chances of producing extraordinary talents.

In a recently shared video, Bello questioned the growing trend of smaller families, warning that society could miss out on future geniuses if birth rates continue to decline. He pointed to the late pop icon Michael Jackson as an example, noting that the global superstar was the seventh child in his family.

I have been wondering, what if Michael Jacksons mother had stopped at two or six kids?” Bello said. Imagine a world without him just because she chose fewer children.

The singer expressed concern that many modern couples now opt for one child or none at all, attributing the shift partly to economic pressures. Despite acknowledging financial challenges, he questioned how society would sustain creativity and cultural greatness with shrinking family sizes.

It is very rare to find a young couple with three kids these days,” he added. We need more Michael Jacksons.

Bellos remarks have since ignited debate online, with some agreeing that larger families could foster more diverse talents, while others argue that economic realities and personal choice should take priority over population growth.
