Nigerian socialite and nightlife entrepreneur, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Chiefpriest, has alleged that Alex Otti has declined to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) alongside Peter Obi due to financial support from President Bola Tinubu.
In a post shared on Instagram, Chiefpriest claimed that Tinubu has been providing funding to Abia State to support Otti’s infrastructure and development projects.
According to him, the governor’s performance reflects backing and guidance from the presidency, urging Nigerians to recognise Tinubu’s role in empowering state leaders who are delivering results.
He described Otti as an “amazing governor” and maintained that the President should not be blamed for the country’s challenges, but rather state governors who fail to effectively utilise federal allocations.
Chiefpriest further called on citizens to hold their respective governors accountable, insisting that improved governance at the state level would translate into better outcomes nationwide.
“All of us dey support Asiwaju. If na lie, make him follow Peter Obi go ADC. All the things wey Alex Otti dey do for Abia na Asiwaju dey supply am with the funds,” he wrote.
He added that governors receive similar allocations but differ in performance, stressing that accountability at the state level remains key to national development.
